2020...a year of goals!

So it's been a while... a lot has gone on in the months since we last spoke.

First of all I want to say thank you for all the encouragement and for following me on my musical journey :) I am very grateful and lucky to have wonderful people around me and the most fabulous students! Seeing my students progress is such a great feeling, and its great learning about my own style of tutoring and my musical style. I will do a blog about this at some point soon :)

I am tutoring piano and vocals almost everyday, which is what I've always wanted to do. And I must say I've been a bit quiet on the performing front though. I still upload videos onto my Facebook page every so often so I keep learning new material.

It would be lovely to start doing more open mic events around the West Midlands but it is difficult with working most evenings. However, seeing all my friends doing brilliantly and continuing with their music is all the encouragement I need to keep going with my own music journey.

I love performing as well as my tutoring and I would love to have a balance between both, maybe someday that balance will be found, but for now I'm just getting used to tutoring full time.

What I've noticed since working more is that life is all about balance, the more you put into life the more you get out of it.

The harder you work the more rewards you can get, my aim is to move out of home in the next few years :)

It is good to set goals for the year and to start afresh. So i thought I would give my goals for 2020...

1) to earn as much as possible to make my goal of moving out a possibility

2) spend time with my friends and family alongside working, basically getting used to the work life balance

3) to make sure that I get all my students through exams and progressing, while continuing to push my own abilities at the same time

4) Perform again, as I love it and I have lost confidence over the recent months... keep going and pushing
