Feeling Festive...

Hello :)

So again, it's been a few weeks since I've blogged and a lot has gone on! It's the lead up to festive season and there's been lots of Halloween and Fireworks night fun... It's also getting very cold here in Britain too, fingers crossed for more than just gloominess and rain this winter!
1) There was the Halloween party at Rox Music Academy which was a success...
Lot's of games, dancing and plenty of sweets eating took place for the students who have worked hard in these first 6 months Rox has been open! A great evening and hopefully the first of many to take place at the Academy!

2) Then it was onto the Pörk Halloween gig at the Beehive in West Bromwich! Brains for Breakfast, David Young and the Midnight Chorus and Pörk all performed for a spooktacular night which was loads of fun :) It was great to see everybody again. We're all going to be at a Christmas open mic event back in West Bromwich (The Three Horseshoes) in December helping us all to get into the Christmas spirit before two Xmas gigs also around the same time!

3) I've been rehearsing with my best friend Sarah Harwood, and her band, for her dissertation taking place in May.
We're rehearsing some popular Boyband songs, from artists such as JLS and Westlife.
It's a lovely way for me to repay for her hard work in my dissertation last May and I've really been enjoying rehearsals! It's giving me a chance to be a backing vocalist, something I've never tried before so it's exciting...

4) Then there was Bonfire/Fireworks night, which was such a brill event! Sunday 5th November, Sean and I went to the Walsall Arboretum for their Fireworks display, Bonfire, fairground and music going on all night :) We both hadn't been to a display in years so it was a brilliant night for the both of us! It's amazing to think we have this night, all because Guy Fawkes and acquaintances tried to kill the King a few centuries ago.

Hope that everyone has had a great Halloween and Bonfire night, I know I did! And there's going to be lots going on over the next month in the lead up to Christmas, so I'll be blogging more often hopefully!
Love,
Emma :)
