Spring forward...

Hello :)

So it's been a few weeks now since I've blogged and a lot has gone on! Busy Busy Busy as per usual.

I feel privileged to have been at the first two open mic events at Splinter Studios in Wednesbury which has been an awesome experience. Splinter Studios is a wonderful little venue that is well equipped and easy to get to!

Getting to play to a new audience has been fab, couldn't have asked for better support, and I look forward to next months event where I'll perform three new songs!

The Three Horseshoes Open Mic is hopefully coming back in the next few months too which is also brilliant. Always a wonderful night :)

I am also looking to gig more around my local area/the west midlands and maybe further afield if things go well :) All exciting stuff. So far I'm planning on looking at The Station in Sutton Coldfield.

Another thing that has been going on and developing further are Sarah Harwood's dissertation rehearsals. I've really been enjoying singing backing vocals (something different) for her boyband based dissertation taking place on 9th May :)

With the weather hopefully getting warmer and spring finally in the air there's many more exciting things in the works!

Finally, getting to see my friends perform is always a pleasure and recently I've been fortunate to be able to see Brains for Breakfast, David Young and Pörk all performing recently! Having friends who are in the same business as you're interested in, and seeing them do brilliantly, spurs you on to try to better your own self and make a go of things...especially in a business like Music, this is so important. I hope I can somehow help to encourage another generation to continue with the arts :)
