Bit of an Update...

Hello :)

Soooo... I've neglected my blog for a while, I'm sorry! A lot has happened since my last post in February. It's been a wonderful summer... so I thought I'd give an update before posting more over the coming weeks!

1) The 'Behind the Bands' day we put on at uni was a success and went better than we had anticipated. We got some great feedback and the day went smoothly with the artists involved pleased from the days event.

2) I have now finished university and am graduating in a few short weeks! My dissertation went really well, and what a lovely band I got the pleasure to work with...a fab ending to three fantastic years at uni. Since my dissertation in May I have had the opportunity to perform a lot more :) Which leads me to something exciting thats happening...

3) I have had the pleasure of playing at a new Open Mic event at the Three Horseshoes in West Bromwich. Where anyone is welcome to come and listen or play. The first took place on the 8th August and was a cracking night!! Looking forward to the next on 12th September and seeing it go from strength to strength :)

4) I have had the chance to go to a whole heap of gigs this summer, including the absolutely epic Codfest in Codsall 2nd September, where there was a whole day of live music. We camped overnight and I got to enjoy the sunshine seeing various artists including Pörk, Brains for Breakfast, Sam Draisey and David Young and the Midnight Chorus!

5) Next for me is to decide what I'm going to do after university. Sometimes it's hard to know what to do, and how to move on after the whirlwind of uni, but don't give up... just keep looking, researching and applying for things and you will get to where you want to be! All I know is that music is my passion, and I want it to be in my life forever.
